Race procedures
All karts and drivers are required to go through a pre-tech before hot laps. Any safety items must be corrected and re-teched before the kart or driver will be allowed on the track.
The 90 second light is located on the flag stand and will be turned on when the karts are to go on the track. Drivers will have until the light goes out to work on their karts and re-enter the race. Once the 90 second light expires, there will be no working on the karts-No exceptions. Engine restarts are allowed if a red flag is thrown, or at head flag man’s discretion.
Line-up will be side by side. If a kart drops out before one lap is complete, the remaining karts will move straight ahead in their respective lines. There will be no working on the kart on the track. If any kart is unable to continue because of mechanical failure you will be asked to pull into the infield as directed by the track workers. If you are involved in an accident it will be up to the corner worker and or head flag man to determine if the kart will be able to continue safely. You cannot put your chain back on if it comes off. If you flip over, you will be finished for that race. If you cause an accident, spin, or jump the rear of another kart and the yellow flag is displayed, you will be put to the rear of the field. (At least 2 track personnel must agree on a call or the karts will be lined up the way they completed the last lap).
Once a kart leaves the race, you will not be allowed to return. All karts will complete one lap accident free or a complete restart will occur. A completed lap constitutes the race leader crossing the start/finish line under green flag conditions. Stop your kart in a safe manner and abide by the track workers orders. NO ONE is allowed on the track until all karts are stopped and the track official permits entry. You will not be allowed to work on your kart at any time on the race track. You will be allowed one re-start per night in the event of the motor dying or being involved in an accident. After you re-start, you will go to the rear of the field.
Any kart that spins out on its own and is not in harms’ way and is able to continue needs to keep going. If the kart is unable to get going or is in harm’s way then a yellow flag will be thrown and you will be sent to the back. If a kart is found to fake problems just to get a yellow, it will be disqualified. Following a yellow caution flag, any karts that have been lapped will start at the back of the pack.
Once the race is over the racers will single file off the track to the scales. NO ONE is allowed in scale area except authorized personnel. As the kart pulls off the scale, crew members may help the driver.
Starts and restarts
All karts will proceed at a normal pace lap speed until they get the green flag on the front chute. Turn 3 flagman will indicate if going green. The races will begin when the green flag is thrown then the racers may begin to pass, until then, they must stay in line. On single file restarts the flag man will wave the green flag at any time after the lead kart has passed the cone located on the exit of #4 and the flag stand. The race will begin when the flag is waved and any passing may begin. No brake checks are allowed and anyone attempting will be disqualified.
If a driver causes 3 yellows they will be disqualified (Rookie, Rookie Animal, Kid Karts and Putt Putt will be allowed 4) the head flag man will make this call and it is undisputable.

Flags
Each competitor is responsible for understanding the meaning of each flag and adhering to the following flag signals:

Green Flag – Start; course is clear
Yellow Flag – Caution; reduce speed immediately and maintain your position
Red Flag - Stop, race is halted. A red flag is mandatory when any kart rolls over
or any driver is ejected from his kart.

Black Flag – Stop next lap at pits for consultation. Drivers, who in the opinion of the Flagman or Race director, clearly ignore the black flag signal and do not stop

at the pits on the next lap after the signal has been given, will be penalized, in that no laps will be officially credited following the lap in which the signal was given. The decision as to whether the black flag was ignored is not protestable.  Black/Orange Flag – Black with orange ball (Meatball Flag) – Stop at pits next lap, you have a mechanical problem.

Blue with Orange Diagonal Stripe – The lapping driver is attempting to pass, give him consideration.

Blue – Faster competitor trying to overtake you, make room.
Yellow and Red Flags Waved – Restart. Drivers reform pack for restart at a slow pace.

Yellow with Diagonal Red Stripes – Watch for debris on the track.

White with Red Cross – Take care, emergency vehicle on the track. Slow down, use caution, hold your position, no passing.

Checkered and Black Flags Waved – Finish under protest. Used to end the competition if suspicion of or reports of foul, rough or illegal driving or unsportsmanlike conduct are present.

Passing
When two or more karts enter a corner simultaneously, the inside kart has the right of way. All karts should maintain a constant line through the corner and avoid erratic changes in direction. Any driver leaving the course or cutting apex of the corner attempting to pass another competitor is subject to disqualification. Flag man decisions are final and are not protestable.

Tire Warming
It is illegal to warm or heat tires, in any manner, in the pits, pre-grid, or on the track before any event.

Bumping and Nerfing
Bumping, nerfing, blocking, pushing, etc... will be grounds for disqualification.

Scoring
Points will be awarded for feature races only. The points will be determined by the IKF Regional Points Program on page 113, section 800.12 of the IKF 2008 rule book. There will be one throw out race. If you miss a race or have a bad night, one points race will be thrown out.

All other classes will receive trophies for the top five places.

Post race tech procedures
Tech will be mandatory for the 1st through 5th place positions, at the discretion of the tech director. The tech director may require an inspection of any component at any time. The director will determine tech. The top 5 in all classes must scale and go straight to the impound area. If you fail to weigh or do not meet the weight requirement for the class, you will be disqualified for that race. No motors or any part of the kart may be removed. If anything is removed from the kart without a track official's permission, you will be disqualified from the race and no points will be awarded for that night.

Protest procedure
A protest fee of $85 cash is required for each tear down. Protests are allowed for A features only by a driver/owner in the same class. It must be filed with the competition director no later than 10 minutes after the last feature race. Protest must be in writing and $85 cash must be given to the competition director. Only the person taking the motor apart and the tech man will be present. If the person taking the motor apart is not the driver, the driver may also be present. If the motor is found legal, the owner receives $75. The remaining $10 goes to the club. If the driver/owner refused to be teched, they will lose all points for the night and the $85 protest fee will be returned. Drivers/owners are allowed to refuse one protest per year. If any driver/owner refuses more than one protest a year, they will be suspended for the rest of the season. This includes kart and driver. If the motor is found illegal by the tech man, that driver/kart will lose all points and awards for the night. $75 of the protest fee will be returned. The remaining $10 goes to the tech man.
